PDM Analysis attends ICSM 2024

PDM Analysis attended the 12th International Conference on Screw Machines (ICSM 2024) at TU Dortmund University last week from September 3rd to 5th, 2024.

Since 1984, the Screw Machines Conference in Dortmund has highlighted progress in research and development, design, manufacturing, and operation of all types of screw machines and their systems.

We had to take advantage of the opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions with the global screw machine community, especially now that we were once again able to attend in person.

Research and Science Updates

Our team from City, University of London presented six papers:

  1. On Rotor Profiling of Internally Geared Screw MachinesH. Lacevic et al.
  2. Designing Novel Rotor Profiles of Twin Screw Compressors Using Generative Deep Learning by R. Nakka, A. Kovacevic, S. A Ponnusami
  3. Economic Assessment of Multi-Stage Screw Compressors: A Comprehensive Lifecycle Cost Analysis by A. Kumar, A. Kovacevic, N. Stosic
  4. Influence of Screw Parameters and Fluid Injection on the Performance of Screw Compressors by A. Kumar, A. Kovacevic, N. Stosic
  5. Investigation of Pulsation and Vibrations for an Internally Geared Screw Compressor by J. Zhu, A. Kovacevic
  6. Combined Rotor Rack Generation for Twin Screw Vacuum Pump Rotor Profile Design by Y. Lu, A. Kovacevic

Exhibiting CERES and SCORG

The team also gave an update on CERES Industrial Consortium for Compressors and Expanders in Future Energy Systems as well as discussing some of the  challenges in measuring operational clearances in screw machines as past of project SECRET.

At the conference, we also exhibited PDM Analysis and showcased our SCORG software – positive displacement machines’ one-stop software for fast and reliable analysis and design solutions.. Specifically, we talked about updates on the development of SCORG and the many upgrades we have had to better our industry leading design, analysis and optimisation software for positive displacement machines. Thank you to everyone who came up to us after to exchange their favourable experiences with our SCORG software

We are constantly improving SCORG so staying up-to-date on industry advancements is very important to us. Being on the cutting edge isn’t easy, but we are committed to providing fast and reliable analysis and design solutions for positive displacement machines.

We look forward to many more fruitful conferences where we can continue to exchange knowledge and experiences. We also cannot wait for PDM Analysis to attend the next International Conference on Screw Machines at TU Dortmund. See you in two years.
