PDM Analysis attends ICSM 2022

PDM Analysis attended the 11th International Conference on Screw Machines (ICSM 2022) at TU Dortmund University earlier this month.

Since 1984, the Screw Machines Conference in Dortmund has highlighted progress in research and development, design, manufacturing, and operation of all types of screw machines and their systems.

We had to take advantage of the opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions with the global screw machine community, especially now that we were once again able to attend in person.

Research and Science Updates

Our team from City, University of London presented three papers:

  1. Systematic engineering design approach for improvement of oil-free twin-screw compressors, by Thibaud Plantegenet,PhDet al
  2. Contribution of modern rotor profiles to energy efficiency of screw compressors, by Sumit Patil et al; and
  3. On performance optimization for oil-injected screw compressors using different evolutionary algorithms by Abhishek Kumar ~.et al.

The team also gave a science update on:

CERES Industrial Consortium for Compressors and Expanders in Future Energy Systems, by Prof Ahmed Kovacevic,

Updates on the development of internally geared screw machines, by Dr Matthew Read and

Challenges in measuring operational clearances in screw machines – project SECRET, by Thibault Tam.

Exhibiting SCORG

At the conference, we also exhibited PDM Analysis and showcased SCORG. Thank you to everyone who visited our stand and exchanged their favorable experiences with the SCORG software – positive displacement machines’ one-stop software for fast and reliable analysis and design solutions. We are constantly improving SCORG so staying up-to-date on industry advancements is very important to us. Being on the cutting edge isn’t easy, but we are committed to providing fast and reliable analysis and design solutions for positive displacement machines.

We look forward to many more fruitful conferences where we can continue to exchange knowledge and experiences.
